Alex is a leader within McKinsey’s Private Capital and Growth, Marketing & Sales Practices, leading the firm’s diversity, equity, and inclusion work for the Private Capital Practice globally. She also co-leads McKinsey’s impact investing, and sustainability investing, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy initiatives for the firm.
Alex advises private equity, alternative investing, and impact investing firms on their top-of-house strategy, as well as portfolio companies across many sectors, helping them identify opportunities for strategic, top-line revenue growth. She also helps companies set their ESG strategy and define impact metrics to meaningfully move the needle over their hold period and recruit, retain, and promote diverse talent at the board, C-suite, and frontline employee levels, aiming to improve equity and inclusion in the workplace. Alex also has extensive experience in workforce development in the public sector.
Alex leads McKinsey’s Women in Private Equity/Alternative Investing global forum and McKinsey’s research on diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Private Capital Practice, founding their annual pro bono report on The State of Diversity in Global Private Markets.
Beyond McKinsey, Alex has professional work experience in the nonprofit and tech sectors and has served on several nonprofit boards focused on mental health, economic, and workforce development. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership in Virginia.
