Anita coleads McKinsey’s culture and change work in Latin America. In this role, she seeks to enhance the firm’s ability to support holistic initiatives that lead to successful transformational change.
Working in partnership with executives and HR leadership, Anita helps top companies enhance both enterprise performance and organizational health. She does this by leading culture-transformation-change initiatives and instilling new capabilities, including building a stronger leadership pipeline and high-performing top teams, at scale.
After joining McKinsey in 2005, Anita spent time in the Madrid; Washington, DC; and San Francisco offices before returning to Rio de Janeiro in 2017. She has helped organizations across Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
Examples of her recent client work include the following:
- facilitating the implementation of a new organizational structure for a 100,000-employee company in the financial sector, redesigning HR tools and performance-management processes to support the change
- driving multiyear transformation journeys for companies in the retail, consumer-goods, and basic-materials sectors, supporting new strategic direction by cascading the change story to the entire organization, building capabilities, and changing mind-sets and behaviors at scale
- engaging the top 60 leaders of a 16,000-person public-sector organization through a strategic-workforce-planning initiative
- designing and facilitating several 6- to 18-month journeys to help top-executive teams establish greater alignment and trust and increase overall leadership capacity for role-modeling approaches
To broaden the impact of her consulting work, Anita directs McKinsey’s Change Leaders Forums and Change Accelerators in Latin America. These intensive workshops give C-suite executives greater understanding of the levers they can pull to drive and sustain change in their organizations. Anita also engages on issues such as social impact, diversity, and inclusion. Anita leads Brazil Mega OHI, the first countrywide Organizational Health Index in Latin America.
During an educational leave from McKinsey, Anita spent three years as an entrepreneur focused on catalyzing positive change. She cofounded several organizations in Spain that foster social innovation. In 2017, she completed an executive program focused on social entrepreneurship. She is also certified as a team coach. Anita is fluent in English, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.
