Faridun leads our talent-management work in Asia. Since joining McKinsey, he has helped executives pursue operational and performance transformations. This work typically involves deep engagement with the organization, including fostering mind-set and behavior change, supporting leadership development, and helping top teams achieve greater alignment. In addition to his client work, he serves as managing partner for the Mumbai office.
While directing performance-transformation initiatives, Faridun seeks to shape the organizational culture by changing how people work together and what performance targets they set. The goal is to help organizations be more agile—able to move quickly to seize opportunities. By improving the performance and health of leading companies, he aspires to improve the lives of all employees.
Faridun also helps drive leadership development at scale. When organizations pursue stronger performance, they often have the simultaneous opportunity to hone their executive development approaches and build leadership bench strength. He has served as a formal coach and counselor to many senior executives, focusing on supporting them through challenges and role transitions.
Examples of his recent client work include the following:
- advising on leadership development for the top 60 executives at one of India’s fastest growing companies, including defining and embedding a new organizational culture
- architecting a large-scale transformation program across functions for a chemical company, including training change agents and creating a new culture focused on meeting stretch improvement targets
- establishing a leadership development approach for top leaders at a steel company, focused on real business projects, resulting in significant financial impact and a new development approach taking root across the organization
- boosting the organizational health of a large conglomerate across more than eight companies, including diagnostics, top-team alignment, leadership development, and on-the-ground performance improvements
Interested in sharing insights, Faridun is a frequent speaker at business gatherings and conferences. He holds degrees earned in India, the United Kingdom, the United States, as well as an ontological coaching certification from the Newfield Institute. Faridun speaks English, Gujarati, and Hindi.
