Fernando is a Senior Partner at the McKinsey office in Bogotá, and he is also the Partner Leader of the Global Frontier Offices initiative.
Since joining the Firm in 1999, Fernando has worked with executives across the region, particularly in Brazil and several Central American countries. He has driven transformation programs in various industries, mainly in the financial sector and with family-owned businesses throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. His focus includes comprehensive transformations, building and scaling UNS, cultural changes, and portfolio strategy.
Some of his most recent work includes:
- Leading multiple holistic transformation programs, particularly focused on operations, sales, organization, digital, and major changes.
- Coordinating multiple transformation programs, focused on operations, sales, culture, and digital.
- Designing the Financial Institutions Practice for Latin America.
- Leading large digital transformations in more than 10 Latin American banks.
- Implementing multiple transformation programs in the banking industry, including significant strategy and growth programs, recovery, and culture.
- Contributing to operational excellence for several institutions.
Fernando is fluent in English and Portuguese, in addition to Spanish, his native language.
