Fernando is the managing partner for McKinsey in Latin America, responsible for locations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Central America, and the Caribbean. He serves clients throughout Latin America and has been based in Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. He formerly led our Financial Services Practice in the region.
Since joining the firm in 1999, Fernando has distinguished himself through advisory work in the financial-services sector, while also guiding engagements for companies in the retail, pharmaceutical, and energy industries.
The hallmark of Fernando’s work is holistic transformation. He focuses on making lasting and substantial change within core company functions, such as operations and sales. He helps guide cultural-change efforts and, with the increasing importance of innovation and agility, has led major turnarounds focused on fostering digital excellence.
With a keen interest in economic and community development, Fernando supports local not-for-profit organizations.
