A founding member of McKinsey’s Denver office, Frankki is deeply committed to the growth and sustainability of the Rocky Mountain region.
Her unique expertise lies in her ability to meld bold strategy development and organizational excellence, ensuring that organizations have the core expertise to realize their strategic goals. To that end, she is as skilled in leading large-scale performance transformations, mergers and integrations, and due-diligence initiatives as in assessing organizational health.
Frankki is proud to serve a diverse group of clients focused on transformational change. A trusted adviser to universities and colleges, she partners with new presidents and established administrations alike on issues related to strategy—including diversity and affordability—and on organization. In healthcare, she works with academic medical centers (AMCs), children’s hospitals, and physician’s groups on strategy, operations, and organizational excellence. Frankki also serves the public sector on economic development, growth, and sustainability at the city and state level. She brings the same passion and dedication to her work in the private sector, where she helps private-equity, retail, outdoors, and hospitality companies grow and create value.
Recent examples of Frankki’s client work include the following:
- advising the new president of a public university on a five-year strategy to improve the performance of the academic medical enterprise, address affordability and the achievement gap, and lift student outcomes so that the vast majority would be employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation
- supporting the incoming president of a top-25 private university on a 100-day plan that included the foundational elements of future strategy (such as affordability and sustainability) and a new governance structure to improve risk management, effectiveness, and the board’s performance
- serving a top-20 academic medical center on strategy, including the assessment of potential acquisitions and market opportunities, so that the center could establish itself as a long-term market leader
- supporting an outdoors company on a due-diligence and M&A effort that involved bringing the organizations together, leading their integration, and operationalizing initial elements of the value agenda
Internally, Frankki lends her energy and expertise to building and maintaining a strong, diverse Denver-office culture, including the recruitment and retention of women. Outside work, she serves on the board of directors of U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Heart & Hand and as a mentor at the social-impact accelerator Uncharted. She is passionate about any and all outdoor activities, including mountain biking, skiing, backpacking, hiking, surfing, and running. An adventurer at heart, Frankki enjoys exploring the world’s mountains and beaches and learning about the people who inhabit them.
