Gary leads our Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice across the Asia–Pacific region. He is also a leader in our Financial Services Practice and M&A work.

Gary serves leading investors on strategy, operations, analytics, and transformations across organizations and portfolios. He works closely with clients to drive impact across a range of industries, including private equity, venture capital, institutional investing, banking, insurance, and high tech. With work experience gained in more than 50 countries, his areas of expertise include helping new tech-based companies scale-up profitably, as well as supporting traditional companies to embed digital and analytics into everyday operations.

In addition to his client work, Gary leads diversity and inclusion initiatives in Australia and New Zealand. He also serves as a board member for several not-for-profit organizations for education and the wellness of children.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Gary worked for a leading investment bank and a financial-services advisory-and-assurance organization. An avid runner, he has competed across the globe and represented Australia.
