Halldor is a partner at the Paris office, he previously worked at the Copenhagen office. Halldor is one of McKinsey’s leaders in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice, he is an international reference on infrastructure strategies of large groups in this sector. With in-depth expertise in their growth opportunities—particularly 5G and all applications related to technologies and IoT—he assists his clients in their major investments in networks and equipment.

Having worked with more than 50 clients worldwide, Halldor is involved in the large-scale transformation of major companies. His expertise covers mergers between operators, convergence or sharing of networks, expanding activities toward adjacent services such as cloud or content creation, and enhancing and monetizing assets. He also supports multiple telecom companies around the world on regulatory topics in fixed and mobile.

Halldor also carries out operational transformation projects enabled by technology and innovation in other sectors, such as energy and high-tech.

Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked at Microsoft Research Asia and in the research and development department of Iceland Telecom.
