Henrique leads our hub in Minas Gerais and our work in basic materials in Brazil, including metals, mining, paper, forest products, and packaging. He joined the firm in Brazil in 2007 and has lived in several countries, including Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and South Africa.
Henrique supports clients in several industries—both locally headquartered and multinationals with major assets in the region—in Latin America and Australia, in industries such as metals and mining, agriculture, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
Henrique empowers clients to improve their competitiveness at scale, mainly through developing their capabilities to continuously deliver large-scale transformations that touch a range of functional topics, such as operations, marketing and sales, organization, strategy, and crisis preparedness and response.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Henrique worked in mine planning for the main mining houses operating in Brazil and as a business development analyst for a Latin American pharmaceutical company. Henrique holds a BSc in mining and mineral processing engineering from University of São Paulo, a specialization degree in project management from Fundação Dom Cabral, and an MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in corporate finance and behavior economics.
