Ignacio is a partner in McKinsey’s Miami office and the global leader of the firm’s manufacturing and supply-chain work in consumer goods. He is passionate about large-scale operations transformations that create lasting performance improvement.
Ignacio’s most recent projects have centered on helping organizations adopt digital technologies across their operations. They include areas such as autonomous planning, Industry 4.0 in manufacturing, and the end-to-end supply chain.
Examples of Ignacio’s recent work include the following:
- working with a leading consumer company’s leadership team to define digital strategy, including launching an agile-based transformation and initiating a center of excellence and minimum-viable-product use cases to revamp its integrated-business-planning process in record time
- leading a consumer-goods group’s global transformation program to change mind-sets in a 20,000-employee workforce to achieve full operations potential and provide the fuel needed for growth investment, with about $1 billion in improvement impact identified and targeted by specific initiatives
- directing a global consumer-packaged-goods leader’s end-to-end supply-chain diagnostic and transformation, including defining a transformation road map and building lean capabilities across all company-wide supply-chain groups
Ignacio is a frequent contributor to developing McKinsey’s internal thought leadership on operations, particularly incorporating digital practices and developing new capabilities across the supply chain. He is an officer of the Board of the Florida Council of 100 and has been involved with several community-service organizations in south Florida. He was an experienced consultant before joining McKinsey, managing operations-focused engagements for manufacturing clients that ranged from factory start-ups to incumbents looking for quality- and productivity-improvement initiatives.
