Jiří is a Senior Expert active in energy and manufacturing globally. His focus is on operations, strategy, performance management, and capital productivity, both in the design and execution phase. He identifies and disseminates ways to use innovative digital tools to improve operations performance in asset-heavy industries.
Examples of Jiří’s work include:
- implementing a turn-around of a large coal fired power plant for one of the world’s biggest utility companies with advanced analytics techniques
- implementing a turn-around of a falling EUR ~1bn capital project at a nuclear power plant, including the development of a reliable schedule, daily planning of work, and performance management
- defining an EU government’s strategy for the future fuel mix and potential nuclear new build developments
Prior to joining McKinsey, Jiří completed his PhD in physics at Charles University in Prague and conducted physics research at the Max Planck Institute in Germany.
