John is a leader in McKinsey’s Healthcare Practice and serves major not-for-profit, for-profit, and government healthcare systems, along with several top-ranked academic medical centers. He helps organizations transform clinical and operational performance to improve patient access and financial sustainability. As part of this work, John has extensive experience leveraging advanced analytics, digital technologies, and AI—including generative AI—to help hospitals and health systems reach full potential.
A physician by background, John coleads McKinsey’s clinical operations work globally. In this role, he helps shape the firm’s perspective on innovative care delivery models and strategies to enhance patient access and throughput. John has also collaborated with leading technology companies to build novel solutions to enhance efficiency of clinical operations through the use of advanced analytics and AI.
