Juan is a partner in our New York office and has more than 15 years of experience advising banks and financial institutions in the United States and Canada, Latin America, and Europe on strategy, risk management, and analytics.
Juan’s client work in the last five years spans a breadth of topics including capital management, stress testing, non-financial risk management, and analytics. Most recently, Juan’s client work has focused on the impact of climate and sustainability for financial institutions, including the analysis of physical and transition risks from climate, greenhouse gas emission calculations, net-zero target setting, and the development of climate finance growth strategies and opportunities. Juan publishes extensively on these topics and convenes several industry events.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Juan worked as a structural engineer and as a researcher. He has civil engineering degrees and an MBA, and received a Wall Street Journal award for academic excellence in finance.
