The managing partner of the Budapest office, Levente also leads the McKinsey Global Pricing Lab for corporate banking clients supported by one of our proprietary solutions, Periscope. He also leads a wider range of digital initiatives in Central Europe. Levente joined McKinsey in 2000 and took educational leave to complete a Masters in Finance at the London Business School in 2004.
He has served leading financial institutions in Europe on key strategic, operational and organizational topics. For example, he supported a major Western European bank in redefining its corporate strategy and undertaking a systematic organization redesign. For another European bank, he led a full review of its organization and processes. And for a universal bank in Eastern Europe, he designed and helped implement an organizational streamlining and adjustment effort.
Levente also brings significant experience in supporting financial services mergers. For a multinational insurance group, he led a team support a merger across three independent entities in Eastern Europe. And for an Austrian banking group, he developed a merger and restructuring plan—including assessing the organizational implications of the merger.
Outside of financial services, Levente has supported strategic, organizational and process-optimization efforts for clients in a variety of industries. For example, he helped restructure the maintenance and procurement processes of a large petroleum company; supported the turnaround and target setting for a large power plant; and helped reconfigure the strategy and organization of a domestic telecommunication company.
