Maitham leads our People and Organizational Performance Practice in the Middle East and our leadership work in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He is also a leader within our Public and Social Sector Practice. He is a firm believer that talent is an organization’s number one asset, and is passionate about building capabilities at scale as a driver of sustainable growth. He works closely with boards, CEOs, and CHROs on talent and organizational programs that will enable them to deliver on their strategic and transformation aspirations, typically within the context of large-scale transformations.

In addition, Maitham is inspired by the public sector’s ability to improve population wellbeing and drive economic growth. He dedicates a significant amount of his time to advising ministries and governments on national, sector-wide, and entity-level strategies.

Examples of Maitham’s work include the following:

  • Advising ministries and governments on health, economic development, labor, education, and other topics
  • Supporting public and private sector organizations in establishing academies to build critical capabilities linked to their strategic aspirations. The academies impact 50,000+ employees in areas including leadership, digital and analytics, customer experience, and public finance
  • Designing organizations of the future through talent strategies and new operating models for a wide range of entities including healthcare providers, central banks, tourism destinations, and ministries
  • Launching culture transformations to define organizational culture and embed it through effective interventions, thereby helping organizations to deliver their strategic aspirations while attracting and retaining the best talent

In his endeavor to help build the next generation of talent in the region and give back to the communities in which McKinsey serves, Maitham is the founder and director of our Qiyada Emerging Leaders program, designed to empower promising young professionals to achieve their full leadership potential.

Before joining McKinsey, Maitham held positions at Booz & Company in Dubai, Morgan Stanley in London, and International Finance Corporation (IFC) World Bank in Washington, DC.
