Mathis Friesdorf earned his doctorate in theoretical physics from the Freie Universität Berlin, with a research stay at Cambridge University. His focus was on the foundations of quantum computers.

- Leading for cross-functional IT and business initiative at a national US payor to optimize the way IT applications support employees to drive business impact
- Coordinating IT strategy development for a Swiss healthcare payer, bridging gap between business requirements and IT solutions. Drove design of future state customer journeys and required technology platforms
- Steering the implementation of a digital transformation of a large rehabilitation care provider
- Setting up a digital, data-centric direct insurer: creating the vision and deriving the necessary digital capabilities, defining the IT architecture, identifying main trade-offs and steering implementation
