Matt is a leader in McKinsey’s Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice. He works with a range of investor clients—including private-equity firms, pension funds, and sovereign-wealth funds—across the deal cycle, from investment strategy, to due diligence, portfolio value creation, and exit support. Matt serves investor and corporate clients on merger-and-acquisition issues in a variety of sectors, including consumer, media, and industrial. He also supports clients in building talent-management capabilities, including performance assessment and workforce planning, to execute their strategies.

Matt coleads McKinsey’s global research on private markets. He authored and published the first annual McKinsey Global Private Markets Review in 2017 and coleads McKinsey’s research into the private markets, leveraging his extensive experience with both investment managers and institutional investors.
