Melvin leads McKinsey’s research and client service on health equity, supporting organizations in understanding and reducing outcome disparities for populations they serve.
Recent examples of his work include the following:
- leading performance transformation across different spending categories including pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, purchased services, and asset optimization design for a large healthcare system
- leading commercial strategy assessment for a major medical and surgical supplies distributor to define value proposition and support scaling of their product business
- providing strategic support for a consumer health organization to define and launch scalable, digital solutions that meet core social determinants of health needs
- advising several healthcare payers and providers on defining and codifying their approach to health equity, including aspirations, definitions, and measures of success
