Moritz is a seasoned Partner and core Leader in McKinsey’s Automotive & Assembly practice. He leads McKinsey’s Center of Future Mobility (MCFM) in North America and is part of the global leadership team. He is passionate about supporting his clients across various industries in navigating Future Mobility and the Energy Transition.

In his work, Moritz leverages his extensive experience working with key businesses across the value chain, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers, as well as the broader mobility ecosystem, which encompasses service providers, investors, startups, tech-companies and scale-ups. Over the past decade, he has driven McKinsey’s client service agenda in areas such as Electrification and Autonomy on-highway (passenger & commercial vehicles) as well as in off-highway applications.

Throughout his career, Moritz has built numerous businesses with his clients and supported over 20 financial transactions and investments into startups and scale-ups. His work has provided him with unique insights into investor perspectives on value creation in the dynamic future mobility space.

Moritz holds a PhD in Engineering and a business degree from RWTH Aachen University. In his free time, he is an enthusiastic watersport lover (sailing and powerboating) and cyclist, spending his weekends on Lake Michigan and in Chicago’s North Shore.
