Pallav leads our work in big data and advanced analytics within the High Tech and Telecommunications practices. In this role, he helps leading companies build capabilities to drive value from big data and analytics.
Working together with executives, Pallav supports consumer-facing and B2B companies as they apply science to commercial and operational decisions. His teams bring unique strategies and tools to derive meaningful insights from data and then leverage those insights into competitive advantage. His areas of expertise include using analytics to drive sound pricing decisions, boosting returns on marketing spending, and driving successful customer acquisition and retention.
Examples of his work include:
- driving a comprehensive big data and analytics transformation for a leading high-tech player; effort identified more than $500 million in opportunity across more than ten use cases, such as assortment and promotion optimization, marketing-spending optimization, and redesigning the product portfolio
- working with a leading telecom carrier in Europe to optimize handset pricing; the effort included quantifying price elasticity and then deriving insights to guide pricing, promotions, and portfolio decisions across key markets
- supporting a leading operator in setting up big data and analytics capabilities for base management; establishing microsegments and personalizing offers for each segment led to a significant reduction in customer churn
- optimizing advertising spending across products, designated media areas, and media vehicles for a top advertiser; the effort identified an efficiency improvement in spending of more than 5 percent
