Advises financial institutions on transforming their performance and achieving superior growth with digital and analytics

Pradip is a senior leader of McKinsey’s global digital financial services work. He has co-led our North American consumer and business banking and digital insurance sectors for the past decade.

Pradip serves public and privately held banks, insurers, wealth managers, payments companies, and fintechs on issues of growth, digitization, technology, strategy, organization, and operations. He has led a number of major performance-transformation programs for clients globally.

In addition to his client work, Pradip has authored several publications on these topics, most recently related to the current era of disruption and rapid digitization of the global financial-services sector. He is a frequent speaker and commentator at industry events.

Pradip offers his clients expertise in developing differentiated strategies to achieve profitable growth, maximizing efficiency through end-to-end digitization and advanced analytics, execution of programmatic performance turnarounds, and modernization of legacy operations and technology. His recent client work includes leading a global insurer’s comprehensive digital transformation that resulted in near-complete digitization of their core end-to-end customer journeys, including developing pragmatic implementation strategies to work with and around legacy IT systems. The transformation drove incremental growth through digitally-enabled front-end customer acquisition strategies in a multichannel environment. Similarly, Pradip has led several growth, digitization, and performance-improvement programs at leading banks and financial technology companies.

In his recent work, Pradip has also focused on modernizing the ways business, operations, and IT function seamlessly to reduce cycle times dramatically in product development and deployment across multichannel distribution networks.

His prior experience includes building a leading enterprise-software and analytics company in the insurance financial technology arena as president and chief operating officer at a software and services provider. He also worked in oilfield and engineering services, including as part of a team awarded a US patent for work on real-time digital-transaction systems.
