Tarandeep leads McKinsey’s product development and procurement work across the Asia–Pacific region and leads the firm’s energy work in Australia and New Zealand. He has extensive experience in strategy, procurement and supply chain, operations, and large scale performance transformations across industries.
Tarandeep has supported more than 50 procurement transformations globally across energy, oil and gas, mining, packaging, telecom, and industrial companies. Across these programs, he has helped clients achieve sustainable step change in their cost position, while building enduring capabilities and adopting cutting-edge digital and analytics solutions.
Tarandeep has also served several leading energy companies to help develop corporate and business unit strategies, pursue value-creating growth and M&A, and deliver comprehensive business transformations.
In addition to his client responsibilities, Tarandeep is a regular speaker on procurement and energy topics at numerous events across Asia–Pacific. He is also a knowledge advisor to Asia–Pacific CPO Forum and Australian Energy Week.
Tarandeep is passionate about strengthening the business relations between Australia and Asia. He serves on the advisory committee of Asialink Business at University of Melbourne and was invited to be a delegate and guest speaker at the inaugural Asian–Australian Leadership Summit on ‘Breaking the bamboo ceiling: Confronting the under-representation of Asian Australians in senior leadership positions’. He is also on the board of Young Sikh Professionals Network in Australia.
