Thibaut offers clients deep expertise in manufacturing operations, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
He leads our work on pharmaceutical benchmarking worldwide, and has helped many companies undertake lean diagnostics and transformations to improve the performance of their manufacturing plants in the areas of production, maintenance, logistics, and quality.
Among his recent projects, Thibaut helped a major pharmaceutical company define the implications of emerging-market growth and new-business entry for its operations and network strategy development, advised on the design and execution of a program to increase the capacity of a generics-drug plant with more than 1,000 employees, and conducted an assessment of the engineering function at a top-ten pharmaceutical company.
Before joining McKinsey, Thibaut spent 4 years with Toyota in Europe, where he led the company’s work to prepare suppliers for the introduction of new models and conducted in-depth supplier-improvement projects.
Thibaut has a degree in electro-mechanical engineering from the University of Leuven in Belgium and an MBA in finance from Solvay Brussels School.
