Ed focuses on serving government and private sector organizations that manage complex manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics operations. He has helped work on these issues with executives at Fortune 100 companies, large US government acquisition programs, and both state and local governments.
Ed has been one of McKinsey’s leaders in establishing the firm’s supply chain resilience and industrial base capabilities. In 2020, he worked closely with colleagues from the McKinsey Global Institute to publish the firm’s landmark report on value chain resilience, a report that helped set the standard for how to approach the topic and has been referenced in numerous industry journals, academic institutions, and the media.
Before joining McKinsey, Ed was an engineer at General Electric’s Aviation business unit and a graduate of the company’s Edison Engineering Development Program. He is an inductee to Purdue University’s Professional Practice Hall of Fame and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School along with a BS in materials engineering from Purdue.
